I've finally determined what will work best for me. I experimented with two repeaters (China and Tp-link), one router (Netis), and a repeater with a 5dBi antenna gain. In a three-room apartment with the router in the furthest room, nothing worked to get a dependable signal in the kitchen. Since the room where the router is situated is connected independently from the electrical grid and I wasn't ready to install an additional outlet at the apartment's door from the cable connecting to this room, I was always aware of powerline technology but didn't purchase these gadgets. When I had no other choice but to purchase this kit, I opted to try plugging the receiver into the kitchen first instead of creating an outlet. To my surprise, everything worked! Technology is so great! The main issue was that the device did not always connect to the network quickly when I tried different sockets in the flat, and at first I was annoyed when speedtest revealed connection issues after waiting 30 seconds. But as it turned out, there are moments when you must wait for around two minutes.
