I bought these hoping it would help get rid of the cat litter smell. Ever since I moved into a tiny apartment half the size of my old house, I can't put two trays in inconspicuous places. Now I have one in the guest bathroom and one in the living room (☹️). The needles say the smell can be. distracting and embarrassing when I have company. Although I use clumping litter, bits and pieces always break off when scooping, which stay in the crate and soon start smelling, which is too much in a small space like my apartment. This was especially noticeable in the bathroom. Fuuu! Since I can't afford to completely change my fountain pen every few days, I decided to give it a try. After opening the bags (*wiggling over the bin and mesh bag to loosen and get rid of the powdery particles), I placed one bag per litter box against the wall. I didn't "charge" them in the sun like some people do, but I'm amazed at the difference these little stones make. For the first few days I smelled like clay (?) when I left the apartment and came home, but the cat litter smell went away. I've either gotten used to the clay smell or it's just gone because now, after 2 weeks, I don't feel it anymore. Now I can let guests into the toilet without being embarrassed by the smell. And I don't smell the toilet first thing when I walk through the door after work. Highly recommended for cat lovers. I ordered a few more (from another listing because they were listed at a lower price) to use in my linen closet because the pressed cardboard shelves are old and have a musty smell underneath the paint which I don't like can get rid of. I'll update when I know how it works for that. I really hope they last as many years as they claim. I don't know how or why they work, but they're pretty awesome. PS While I was able to find another deal a few dollars cheaper after purchase, I feel that the $9 package I paid was well worth it. what it does I'm not ashamed to pay a price like that, but if I can save money easily, then I fucking will.
