I was sent a kayak to the junkyard because it had a coin sized hole in the keel and about a 2x5 inch spongy thin area around it from being dragged over concrete. Other than that it's a pretty good kayak so I did some research. and decided to fix it instead. I needed a plastic welding gun for the repair and found it here at Revain. It turned out to be three and I chose this one because of its price and because it was the quickest to ship. No regrets about my purchase, what a great little tool for the price! It heats up fairly quickly and the temperature was perfect for melting the HDPE (high density polyethylene) I used for the repair. The tip size was just right for the job. and after the repair showed no signs of wear, except for residues of high-density polyethylene enamel, which were easily removed with the brush included in the kit. enough to use even for someone like me who has never done this before. Recommend this tool for this job!
