The box is quite nice size, and feels sturdy. I can grab and pick it up at the narrowest side with one hand, and if the box was even a little bit better, this might be impossible for me - the narrow side is about 5 inches wide. The box has a blue silicone strip in the lid, and it holds the box closed very firmly. You can remove the strip for washing, they did provide cut outs in the clear plastic for that to make it easy. The box is hand wash only, and it can go into freezer. I like how sturdy it is.After a while I settled to use the medium box for cheeses in the fridge. The big chunk of Gouda from Costco fits in there well, or a couple of smaller cheeses, they do not dry out for quite a long time in the box because it closes so tightly. I also bought the small size box, and use it for hot dogs. It is a bit bigger than I like, it fits two standard packages. We don't eat those a lot, and usually only take one or two out of the package, and the rest often starts to get dry, plus the packages often leak. The new container solves both problems. The containers stack well, too.
