I really liked this set. We have matching cups and they work very well. However, as a bowl/plate, the material simply cannot support the weight of the food and it is difficult to get onto the table without spilling, especially the "plate". The bowl has a bit more structure, but I wouldn't serve soup or cereal out of it without first placing it on a sturdy plate to support it. It's fine for dry snacks, but it's pretty big for that, unless I'm making something for multiple kids. I love that it stays in place and doesn't slip. So when I put something out for the kids I can put it in the middle of the table and it stays in place.
