This is my second choice and we love it so much - one for preschool and one for home. Fits my 2.5 year old perfectly and should be fine for a year or maybe more, his head is slightly larger, maybe 70th percentile. Can be tightened on a smaller head. The main feature I like is that the edges aren't too flexible so he can see well. The chin strap is also great for windy conditions. And the mesh opening ensures breathability.
