As someone who has ordered this product before and had no problems, I was surprised when I opened up my recent purchase and found something unexpected. Instead of the usual three Surface Pro chargers in a typical box, I was greeted with nondescript white boxes in various states, with labels chaotically attached to the sides. Needless to say, I immediately suspected her. As I said, I have already ordered these products and I know what they should look like. As you can see in the first attached image, the differences in the packages are unmissable once you know what to look for. Upon opening one of the suspect boxes, it wasn't long before another discrepancy was discovered. These chargers come with a glossy foil not found on genuine Microsoft chargers, whether they come with Surface Pro devices or standalone replacements. This can be seen in the second photo where the fake charger is again on the left and the real charger is on the right. In addition to the shiny foil, the fake charger lacks the serial number printed in a slightly yellow tint in the lower right corner that is found on every legitimate charger I've seen. With these three main differences, I can say with some certainty: trust that the chargers I received are not legal. Unfortunately, due to the way Revain treats third party sellers, buyers may not be able to tell if a particular seller is selling counterfeit or genuine products. All you can do is buy one, try it and send it back if it's fake. Unfortunately, I suspect that the vast majority of buyers lack the knowledge to independently determine the authenticity of these devices. This means there are probably thousands of fake and potentially dangerous chargers out there that have not been verified by Microsoft. At best, such chargers can damage our device or shorten its lifespan. At worst, they can lead to a catastrophic failure and pose a security risk. I've seen similar devices catch fire before; I just hope these fakes will be of better quality than this one. In short, check your device for authenticity. There are fakes sold under the same list. Take two minutes to do your research and determine if you have received a genuine and safe product for your own safety.
