I bought one of these and ended up sending it back thinking it was no longer compatible with the Mac with the new High Sierra updates but turns out I was wrong. I bought another one and tried this one and it works! Some settings need to be changed to make it work. I don't know why it's a secret, the company doesn't seem to update their forum very often. There is a post on the Contour forums that describes the settings (thanks to the user who posted it!), but basically you have to toggle the Security & Privacy > General tab in System Preferences to "Allow" during installation " click (I found this after installing the software and rebooting and then going straight to the settings panel). Second, you need to go to the "Privacy" tab in the same "Security & Privacy" setting and add the Contour Shuttle app to Accessibility.Boom. Is working. It's really nice to be able to switch between Final Cut Pro and frame by frame with the middle dial. Love it. All buttons can be assigned custom functions.
