Review on πŸ‘• PIQIDIG Boys' Swimwear: Hooded Guard Shirt for Enhanced Protection by Carlos King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buy every year

I have bought this shirt for my 2 boys over the past 3 years, they are now 6.5 and almost 9 years old. The hood protects your neck, ears and scalp during long periods of play in the sun. They're a bit thinner than some of the Carter and Mini Boden swim shirts I've bought, but that just means they dry faster and take up less room in a suitcase or beach bag. If you're on vacation and want to wash and use the next day, this shirt dries quickly. At this price I don't care if they get dirty in the sand and I sometimes put them in the dryer (I always air dry the more expensive ones). My 6 year old son (45 inches, 45 pounds) wears an XS. My eldest son aged 7-8 wore a size S (approx 48 inches and 55-60 lbs), see attached picture with a yellow shirt. Standing nearly 9 (50 inches, 63 pounds) tall, he can carry himself short but prefers a medium length. The middle one is longer and wider. Beach. All the colors are the same as the picture on the web. I prefer bright colors so they can be seen in a crowd.

Pros
  • It's a bit big, I would suggest going down a size especially if they wear it in the water.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate UV protection from strong rays
