I was very disappointed when I first used it

I bought this because I remember mine Mom had one when I was a kid. This year we had an abundance of beans. I was very disappointed when I used it for the first time. It cuts the beans unevenly, almost mushing them in some cases. In addition, it is very inconvenient to wash them after use. Mine is now in the trash can.
