Pump was a quick and easy replacement (with the right tool) but quickly found that the fuel level sensor on the new pump was not working. I pulled the unit back and checked it with a meter and it showed variable resistance depending on the position of the sensor, so it's not dead, just didn't work on my 300 (shows an empty tank regardless of float position). The simple solution was to simply replace the sensor with the old OEM from the failed pump. After installation, the car started immediately.
