Review on 🎨 Enhance Your Artistic Vision with Princeton Catalyst Tools: Texturizing and Paint Movement in Contour Taupe by Carla Anderson

This is a strong, sturdy nylon tool! Not rubbery at all.

This is a well made tool made from durable nylon that feels comfortable in the hand - not sure if the grip is rubberized or textured to achieve that effect but I like it. The tool is very stiff but has little blade flexibility. I tried some thick acrylic paint on a piece of paper and it worked pretty well, but maybe not as well as a silicone tool for my purposes. I'm certainly not an experienced acrylic user. Also, I'm stingy with paint, and the video shows how these things move thick paint. All of the other Catalyst Wedge, Blade, and Miniblade tools I have are nice and tough, and great for applying tube paint. I expected this tool to be similar to what Revain describes and was a little dismayed when it didn't, so much so that I emailed the manufacturer to find out what was wrong. They said it was tough nylon and should be tough and tough. Nylon is a good material with excellent technical properties, but it is by no means rubbery. I would really like a good rubber tool of this size and shape. Spring. This is a well made tool - durable, heat resistant, even food safe. I won't throw it away.
