Attention buyers, you can return it if you haven't cut it. This doesn't work for all doors, FYI. My door is 36 inches wide but I had to cut an inch off because it didn't slide all the way and allowed me to close the door to see if it worked. It makes the most annoying screeching every time I open or close the doors, my neighbors keep coming out. Will have to take it off. Cutting is not as easy as all the reviews claim. Scissors to cut off an inch (my door is 36 inches but it wouldn't slide any further and I couldn't close the door) and unfortunately it's not a straight cut. It doesn't let in the light and air that came out of my apartment door, but I had to cut off an inch to allow it to slide all the way, so there were gaps on the sides. I also understand what others have said as the foam in the corners is already peeling off and I've had it for a few days now. I can't use any of the permanent devices as it's an apartment so I'm still looking for a better solution. waste of time and money.
