I bought this to add to the existing memory in my late 2015 27" Retina iMac. The two 8GB DIMMs were well packaged and very easy to install .Following the instructions I removed the existing DIMMs and put these new ones in their place then reinstalled the old ones in the remaining slots.I shut down my computer, reconnected the power cord and other cables, turned it on and was back in the shop inside a minute or two of computer response time - a subjective thing and difficult to quantify, but I can unreservedly say that my iMac is noticeably faster with the new memory added, which is now 32GB This is most noticeable at work It's noticeable with Photoshop and other memory-intensive software, but it's overall system and appears to be a faster computer overall. My only regret is waiting so long for the update, but the price is up now so it was worth it. While power users like me will likely only see a significant improvement in system responsiveness on certain tasks, adding RAM to your computer is NEVER a bad thing if you can afford it. These Apple Memory Upgrade DIMMs Adamanta 16GB (2x8GB) are an upgrade I should have done a few years ago. court
