After reading the various reviews I decided to purchase this tester. As soon as I received it I 'tested the tester', as some reviewers didn't rate it well. Great little tester, really comes in handy. Glad I bought this item. Had a bunch of "new" batteries that were 4 and 5 years past date, I tested all of them and they were all still in the excellent range. Saved a bunch of money, before I had the tester I probably would have just thrown these batteries in the trash.

I've never had a battery tester that can test some button-style batteries. This battery tester is great. It's easy to use and read. I have saved money already by keeping some batteries that i had already tossed in the recycle pile. My old battery tester died on me. I'm glad i decided to invest in this one.

This item is presented as a "2 Pack battery tester", which could imply that it's either two testers, or two batteries. Not clear which one. Let me clear this up: it's neither. It's one tester, and one battery to power the tester.The gray color is a dollar cheaper, so check all colors before ordering.

I just received this and used it to clear out a big drawer of batteries of unknown charge. Within minutes, my task was done. Easy to use and very intuitive.

This battery tester is so easy to use. I had a different kind and I had to hold the battery in my fingers between two metal poles to test it. This was truly not ideal. This battery tester has specific spaces for different batteries, (AAA, Aa, etc). All you have to do is put the battery in its appropriate slot and the tester responds with the amount of charge left in the battery. I cannot express how much easier that is than the old one I had. We use a tone of rechargeable batteries when we are filming. It's extremely important that our batteries are fully charged, so we constantly test batteries prior to filming. I love that it is easy to insert the battery being tested. My old one was harder to use and didn’t have all the options this one does. I am pleased I bought it.

I had a remote that quit working so I tested the battery and it tested good so I put it back in and the remote didn’t work so I put a NEW battery in and the remote worked. I took the old battery and tested it again and it showed good which obviously it wasn’t. So I don’t feel like it can be trusted to work.

This item was great. I had it for a while, but only used it once in a while to check on a battery. Then it started to do odd things. It should show the charge level and keep the reading there. But now it will quickly show the charge level and then flicker and freak out. I still think the initial reading is okay, but how do I really know?

Bought this so I could test button-cell batteries. So far I've only tested one, but the tester revealed that a battery I thought long dead was in good shape.

Also.,i just went through a bag of about 40 batteries I thought were dead from the two-wire device and discovered 8 were dead, 20 were full, 12 were very good.

This was great, while it lasted. After purchasing in November 2019, today, January 2023, the silver prong for the "AA” battery just snapped off. I seldom used this, and have always placed it back in the box, and in a drawer, so it was well cared for.

The state of charge markings are useless. A functionally "dead” battery reads between excellent and good. If it’s too discharged to use, why should I care how much unusable power is left?Might be ok for go/no-go sorting of old batteries, or checking soc of rechargeable batteries.

I love how all the battery's a person would want to test is on this unit.it is easy to read and takes one battery itself to operate. The battery's are easy to insert and remove and gives an accurate reading, makes testing so much easier.

Liked this so much I went and bought a second one for my worksite. Tests more different batteries than any other tester I have. Note: once the internal battery that powers this device weakens, all further tested batteries read too low. Just a heads up.
