Review on 🧡 Enhance Your DIY Embroidery Craft with Pllieay Square Embroidery Hoops - 4 Different Sizes for Optimal Flexibility! by Cindy Foster

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The rectangular shapes are AWESOME; However it can hold the fabric better

The inside could be improved if there was a lip on one side to prevent them from slipping through the outside. I bought a round plastic frame from a local store a few years ago and it has a rib that does a great job of keeping the fabric from shifting. too slippery and it also results in the inner hoop just slipping out of the outer hoop and not holding the fabric the way I wanted for machine embroidery. . My fingers are pretty nimble, but the small heads made it difficult to get the outer hoop as tight and as fast as I wanted. This is all the reason I deducted a star. BUT I was able to finish my embroidery projects on the sewing machine much faster than before and the large rectangular shapes helped me a lot! They're easy to work with once you get the hang of them and the larger shapes are just what I need for my embroidery projects! I placed the fabric (sports shirts, jackets and pants) upside down in the hoop and the edge could be neatened under the presser foot of my sewing machine. I had to raise the sewing foot higher than it's normally in the up position to get the edge underneath, but the gauge of the hoop was thin enough to do it. If the tires were a little fatter I wouldn't be able to do it. So I'm very happy with the sizes they have. If you can handle a little fabric slip and occasionally adjust it with a sewing machine, they will work just fine! They would probably hold up to hand embroidery even better because it's not as challenging as free motion machine embroidery like I did. It would probably be possible to use double sided tape on the inner surfaces to keep the fabric from slipping, or even a thin layer of dry silicone, I don't know but I managed to adjust the fabric from time to time.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
