For the price this is a great skirt. I looked at many options to hide the metal bed frame we have. I wanted something opaque and not too flashy - I didn't want anything that looked sloppy. This one also goes almost perfectly with the linen curtains I have from Ikea. I petted it first before letting it cool and laying it on the bed (which is quite a feat when you have a heavy latex king mattress on it). I used safety pins to hold the pleats in place, which isn't ideal, but I'd like to see how it performs and wears down over time. I can sew them together later with a needle and thread for a neater look. It wasn't too much packaging although it comes in a ziplock plastic bag.
