Review on Sky Organics Do-It-All Beard Balm for Men: Multipurpose Beard Moisturizer, Conditioner & Grooming Solution with Castor Oil - USDA Organic, Cruelty-Free by Beth Westra

Small 2oz plastic jar, arrived in a nice little box. My first impression when I took the balm out of the tin was that it was more like beard oil than beard balm. Beard oil is the best description because it's quite mild and applies relatively well to my beard. It doesn't hold all my long beard hairs very well, which is to be expected from a beard oil. Smell: Since he loses me. The aroma is pungent. I get that it's supposed to smell like castor oil (which isn't famous for its great scent), but it's harsh. I describe it as an industrial chemical smell. Like coming from a construction site with lots of paints and thinners around. My wife said it had a hint of coffee but didn't like the overall taste. And my 27 year old daughter was a little less polite and insisted it smelled like poison. So the oil itself would be 4 stars for nutrition because it's more moisturizing than a traditional balm, but the smell just isn't pleasant. I can't imagine putting this on and then putting on a mask at any point of the day and that chemical smell will waft through to the point where I breathe it in all day.
