In the white light setting with the brightness turned all the way up, theses are not bright enough to actually see obstacles on the trail. But, the colors are plentiful to illuminate your favorite mall crawler while you prowl the city streets.The lights themselves are good quality. All metal housing with included rubber/plastic mounting plate. The mounting plate has different options for running the wire from the light. If you want to run the wire out the back though, the hole is not big enough for the nut on the waterproof connector. It is all pre wired with weatherproof connectors for the lights. Wiring is very easy, just a positive and negative to the battery. They have low power consumption, so you can leave your "rig" flossing while you run into the c-store for another pack of whiteclaws without worrying about running down the battery.The wires for 2 of the lights are about 12' long and the other 2 are about 9'. So, you should have enough wire to put them just about anywhere you want. The included remote works well for all the basic functions of the lights.The app was a little hard to get connected at first. Once I got it connected to the controller it connected every time after that without problem. The app works pretty well and the lights are responsive when you make changes in the app. The music part does not work very well. It seems OK if you are playing music from the device you have the app on. If you are using the mic, no matter what sensitivity you have it set on, it just seems to flash randomly and not really with the music.
