This bit is indispensable for reworking masonry mortar!

benefits from. This was an essential tool for my new window project. The old bricks had to be removed to make room for the new windows and to allow the bricklayer to touch up the bricks. First I tried a hammer drill, a mortar wheel on an angle grinder and a hammer/chisel. It was long, hard, and tedious work, and in the process, many of the stones I wanted to keep broke off. After some research on the Internet, I finally bought an SDS rotary hammer with a joint drill and this drill for use with an angle grinder. Using a hammer drill I was able to poke holes in the grout about every 1 inch. I then attached this bit to an angle grinder and was able to "rake" the grout in large swaths. It worked so well that I was able to remove about 10 bricks at a time without damaging the surrounding bricks. I worked through four of these for my project, but it was worth every penny!
