Review on 🎨 Emperor's Gold Acrylic Paint - DecoArt Dazzling Metallics, 2-Ounce by Kim Sanchez

Emperor's Gold is better than Jacquard Lumiere or Martha Stewart Metallics

I tried several metallic colors hoping to find a good one: DecoArt Dazzling Metallics, Jacquard Lumiere and Martha Stewart Metallics the best of the three brands, if not amazing. The paint appeared to contain more metal particles, causing it to dry out and be more reflective than others. I would equate it with the soft sheen of Rub n Buff if that helps anyone decide. FYI, it's nowhere near as reflective as liquid gold or gold leaf. I have Emperor's Gold, a deep yellow-orange "old gold". For reference, this is the color of Tutankhamun's mask or the giant golden Buddhas in Thailand. The first two coats are a bit see-through, but they apply well without leaving streaks or brush marks, and if you're patient, it becomes fully opaque. After drying, it forms a durable coating that will not be scratched by a nail. I painted a few small items and a wooden tray and it held up well. I also mixed it with a very mediocre fabric (thanks Martha Stewart) and drew directly onto the satin with decent results. I took photos from different angles to show the quality of the reflection, but the photo with the strongest orange cast is the most accurate example of the color.
