Unusable for my needs

I was so excited when I discovered this color and couldn't wait to start my project. I painted on colored construction paper and unfortunately for me this color was very transparent. After I applied the first layer, the surface was still so brown. The only visible marks left by this color were the tiny streaks of light my brush made as I applied it. I ended up removing only a small amount of paint from the piece and my project stalled. At the moment I'm looking for an opaque metallic or…

Thick lumpy texture; not for fine details

Metallic White was my special poison. Came in a pack of two bottles, supposedly offered as some sort of cheap pack. The paint is also intended for airbrushing. Thinning to a smooth consistency with a flow aid is harder than I thought, which has never been a problem for me with other acrylic paints in the past. Once applied it cures fairly quickly (too quickly if you ask me) but after 48 hours dries to a layer that feels too soft leading to unintentional surface defects such as dents and other…

I tried several metallic colors hoping to find a good one: DecoArt Dazzling Metallics, Jacquard Lumiere and Martha Stewart Metallics the best of the three brands, if not amazing. The paint appeared to contain more metal particles, causing it to dry out and be more reflective than others. I would equate it with the soft sheen of Rub n Buff if that helps anyone decide.
