From time to time I hear him turning, but not loud. It's 5400 rpm but with a decent cache that's fine for most of my games. Instead, all large or intense games go to the SSD. The capacity was 3.7TB which was more than I expected, there is always a slight loss due to the way it is measured etc. I always make a point of not buying used drives of any kind, but for the price it was worth the risk. If that fails, it's just a few games that store user data in the cloud, so there's no risk of loss at all other than time.
