Review on Secure Data Storage Solution: Apricorn 1TB Aegis Padlock USB 3.0 256-bit AES XTS Hardware Encrypted Portable External Hard Drive by Danielle Nosbush

I have had an Apricorn security key for a while now which I really like. In fact, my entire organization has adopted them based on my experience. So I had high hopes for the lock when I needed an encrypted backup drive for my MacBook Pro. Well the damn thing closed so many times it was useless and I thought I wasted my money. The tips I found on the internet for setting up macOS didn't help. Apricorn tech support tried to help, but their solution for a third-party program that supports disk rotation didn't help with my issue either. The hard drive was locked during recording. What really solved my problem was plugging my Wiebetech Mouse Jiggler into a different USB port. For some reason this prevents the apricorn lock from being locked. (My theory is that the USB controller goes to sleep even when the computer writes data to the lock, but the Mouse Jiggler somehow prevents this.) Now I'm very happy with this device (and more than ever with the Mouse Jiggler) . ).
