My husband bakes the BEST homemade bread and fighting cold butter has always been frustrating. Butter dish solved this problem. It has a well that prevents the oil from going rancid. You can keep the oil in it for a week or two without changing it if you add fresh water every day. You can melt the butter at room temperature if you plan to use it. The only downside I have is that it's heavy and since there are three parts it's difficult to move around. I solved this problem by giving it a permanent spot on the counter next to the cutting board where we cut the bread. I think it was worth the money!
