Wanted to build a powerful mini pc to run Abaqus CAE and I paired this CPU with Asrock Deskmini H470W because it is the most powerful CPU that can support this base system. H470W runs at 120W. The adapter and this I9-10900 (TDP 65W) work fine. This little beast has raw processing power that cuts Abaqus' average analysis time by 50% compared to my other I5 1035G7 sport laptops. Despite its performance, this is still a processor with a TDP of 65W, and the heat development is very manageable for a mini PC with an internal volume of less than 2 liters. I've paired it with a Noctua NH-L9i and the temperature is around 86 degrees C under heavy load. Below is a list of components. H470W barebones system with 120 W power supply. I9-10900CPU with Noctua NH-L9iM. It's amazing that I can add such a powerful processor to a tiny base system. Very happy with this processor, highly recommended.
