Review on 🍢 Thermos Intak 24-Ounce Tritan Hydration Bottle with Meter - Teal (One Size) by Tony Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for raising awareness of water use

The main reason I bought this water bottle is for the counter. I've never tracked how much I'm drinking on a daily basis, but I was pretty sure I wasn't drinking enough water, so I figured being accountable for my recommended hydration requirements would help me. And it definitely helped. For me it is basically a question of consciousness. The simple act of moving that little meter every time I top up with water has made me pay more attention to how much water I'm using (or lacking...). Now this is closer to the forefront of my thoughts and not just an afterthought. So for me I'd say it's totally worth the $10-12 it costs, depending on the color ;) This little escape is always with me wherever I go: to work, when I'm running errands, have it even taken away. once without thinking in a restaurant (oops). The longer he stays with me, the more I drink. I drink up to 5 or 6 slots constantly; so about 100-120 ounces of water, which is more than my weight/age recommendation of 85-90 ounces. I can safely say that I have definitely never drunk that much. I used to wake up all the time in the middle of the night because I was thirsty and my mouth was dry. I guess because I taped that bottle to me it doesn't happen anymore. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it's to pee, which I think is better than becoming dehydrated and robbing my cells of their source of life (sorry if it's tmi). Now for the bottle itself... The spout is covered with a cap that closes and seals the top so you don't have to worry about spills, opening the mouthpiece, or accidental opening (thanks to this cap). Other customers have complained about the loss of the rubber seal on the top... this hasn't happened to me, but I certainly understand their frustration because if it were I'd render it useless too as it's always in mine handbag or work bag. But that didn't happen so I'm still a very happy camper. The plastic loop at the top of the bottle is great for attaching to bags etc...or your finger :) They've made some design changes to keep up with the competition, which is becoming sleeker, more stylish and more minimalist in look. If it wasn't for this counter, I would have bought another one. Those others haven't seen the beauty of a counter yet, I guess... Would I buy it again? Yes
