This spare wheel holder seems to be very well made with strong welds. Although this carrier is not designed to be attached to a corner pendant, I did just that. I cut out a piece of wood to fill in the space in the corner to create a strong side. I also bought two extra eye nuts to attach the eye bolts to the bracket. This way the eyebolts stay in place when removing the spare tire (rather than falling to the ground and likely to be lost), and using extra eyenuts causes the spare tire to be mounted closer to the end of the eyebolts. Now the eyebolts don't stick out too much and my wrench fits on the nuts. This way I don't have to carry an extra box wrench just to remove the spare wheel from the holder. It was a great purchase and I would have happily paid a little more if it had included two more nuts.
