Altoros has provided a great service.
Our business has moved into a new area and required us to migrate data into a new environment and needed a scalable solution that could scale and allow us to continue to use existing applications. They had a unique view of how we should proceed with our migration, allowing us to get back to work immediately. I would recommend them to anyone looking for help with similar tasks. They were very responsive and helpful when they answered my questions during the project. They did a good job at explaining things clearly, including all of the steps involved. They helped provide suggestions throughout the process so that it was as smooth as possible.
Pros
- They provided excellent support and guidance through the entire process.
- They worked diligently and quickly to ensure that everything ran smoothly during the migration.
- The software worked well in both the test and production environments
Cons
- There was a bit of lag time in getting the test environment ready, but once that happened, it was seamless.
- The ability to add/delete fields is not as easy as most solutions, but this is true for any database.
- The service took over a week to complete and went live at the end of that week
- The data didn't transfer correctly, so we ended up having to do the conversion twice, which added some time.
