Of the first three candles, the largest featured a dangling mechanism at the top. It kept falling into the body and after a few tweaks I can't keep it visible anymore. The middle candle failed a few months later and even with fresh batteries the wick moves but no light is seen. The little candle is still hanging there, but for how long, who knows? In comparison, my Luminaria candle lasts 11 years. Why did I give three stars? Well I bought two sets and the other set of three is still working fine. In the winter they work on a timer for me, so they turn on every night and work quite late. For the price, they're not bad for casual use. If you plan on using them like I did, they might not have the longest lifespan.
