Not as fast as my old Duracell charger and after about an hour or two of charging the green light will flash to indicate it's ready to use. NO, it just means it's partially charged and ready unless you need a fully charged battery. You have to wait for it to turn green before it's fully charged and it takes longer than my old Duracell charger that I'm using again. It's not fast, trust me. I charge batteries every day, I know how long it will last. Duracell misleads people. I love Duracell. It'll just become my backup charger and keep using the old one.
