I give 5 stars for price and performance. With this device, the installer can choose between normally open and normally open. That's important for some people like me. If you have a normally closed type, you depend on those contacts to work 24/7 for years. Any slight corrosion on the contacts will result in a false alarm. By using the normally open option (just swapping jumpers) I can't expect any false alarms when the unit is used in an unheated and possibly humid environment. Installed the same day I received it. I have no long-term performance report to report. By the way, it has other jumper settings that are very useful for custom installations.
