I recently bought this to add music to a video I'm working on. I've only been making videos for a few years (30+ years in professional photography) and this was the first project I needed voice acting for. I wanted everything to be done right, with no extraneous noise (echoes etc.) and with pure tones. After reading the rave reviews, I decided to stick with this model. I'm so glad I did. You can see in my photos how I set everything up. I bought the Monoprice Mic Shield and the Aokeo Pop Filter Shield, both from Revain, to get everything working. I have found that it is best to close the isolation screen doors until it contacts the pop screen. I connected the mic to my Zoom H5 recorder which provided proper phantom power for the mic. I can say the sound was crisp, clear and with nice warm low tones (for my male actor). If you want to save some money to build a portable "recording studio", check out these three items!
