Amazing warm tone microphone of awesomeness!

I use this microphone for a podcast and also for a YouTube channel and it suits my deeper voice very well. It has a rich and warm tone that I had to smooth out a lot to bring back when I was using my old NW700. It throws him out of the water. I would suggest purchasing a pop screen or windscreen when purchasing to block explosives and reduce background noise a bit.

Doesn't work with country music

Cool microphone I don't have any friends so I make up voices and use them to talk to myself. It's great not to feel like a failure when you're recording layers and fake phone calls so your loneliness doesn't make you cry at night. Sound quality is good, once I ate too much nacho cheese and burped it up and it picked up everything but the smell. This is a good mic, pick it up if you need to get some quick recordings. However, that doesn't work with country music, we don't need thrash music…

Great for beginner VO studios!

I cannot recommend this mic enough! I made the mistake of NOT buying this mic first - when I first started voicing I settled on sub $30 mics which pollute the Revain. complete garbage! I WISH TO BUY THIS MICROPHONE FIRST! This mic is just great for VO! Compared to other microphones that cost more than 4 times! Noise levels are decent, I can easily go below -65dB with -3dB speech peaks, with an average studio and a cheap preamp! The sound is full and needs a bit of EQ, unless you want the…

My girlfriend wanted to get into voice acting and was new to studio tech but as a tech I decided to try entry level equipment to help her get started. I wasn't sure which mic to choose but the MXL was highly recommended by the voiceover community and this mic was recommended to me by Amazon after researching many models and types. Recorded speech is crisp and clear. I hooked it up to a PreSonus audio box, a Samson MK-10 mic stand, and a CBI MLC20 Low Z XLR to 20ft mic cable. All of this could…

My first mic of its kind - and I LOVE it!

I recently bought this to add music to a video I'm working on. I've only been making videos for a few years (30+ years in professional photography) and this was the first project I needed voice acting for. I wanted everything to be done right, with no extraneous noise (echoes etc.) and with pure tones. After reading the rave reviews, I decided to stick with this model. I'm so glad I did. You can see in my photos how I set everything up. I bought the Monoprice Mic Shield and the Aokeo Pop Filter

Great product for this money! Remember you need phantom power!

I did some research and found that this condenser mic is a great option for beginners, among other things. I've done SEVERAL records and podcasts with him and am very impressed with the way this boy plays. I would STRONGLY advise you to go to YouTube with a good quality pair of headphones and listen to VARIOUS user reviews of this mic. After compiling a list of possible candidates, I listened very carefully as each of them spoke in different voices. For my needs it was between this mic and the…

The absolute best choice for a bedroom/home studio mic

This is the third affordable condenser mic I use for my home studio. I would say this is the cheapest but the best. The other two I've used are AT2020 (USB) and MXL V67G. I've used it on vocals and acoustic guitar and it responded very well on both occasions. The mic has a bass rolloff and a -10dB pad switch which are very useful. Bass rolloff is useful to reduce the proximity effect as suggested in the manual. I've personally used it on vocal recordings and the pop filter is still not enough…

It can't be that the price is right.

I'm confused here. Why is this microphone so low priced but fantastic quality? This is the most literal plug and play microphone. I am a musician who has recorded with the U87 and the best blue mics and the list goes on. I was disappointed in the studio with the way my vocals sounded. Not enough air, not enough bass, not rich enough, not powerful enough. The list goes on. I spent less than 5 minutes getting the mic through the entire mix and picking up the bass in my voice without booming. I…

I've been using the Zoom H4N Audio Recorder for many years and finally decided to add a real microphone to get the most out of it. I'm not technically a professional audio engineer or musician, but I do record and edit a lot of audio. I sing in a local band and make very high quality YouTube videos for them. Many professional YouTube videos rely on good equipment. I also sing and play guitar and sometimes I need to record practice files to memorize, record something to listen to, or just record
