We bought four of these fans/lights to replace ones that had burned out from a large power surge. We had an electrician install them. He thought they were very well made, but we were disappointed that the two fans were very noisy. Not from the blades, but from the engine. With Revane's help, I was able to speak to a guy from the fan company to see if we could do something about the noise from two loud fans. We knew they could be quiet as the other two were pretty good. The man was dismissive and didn't listen to what I said. All he could do was email me the tip sheet I received, but it only had three tips on lighting issues, not fans. Revain would let us return the fans, but it would be difficult for us (we're in our 80s) to remove them and then pay the cost of installing a new one. We tried running the fans in reverse for a while and that might have helped a bit. There is no need to break the terms and conditions, but when making a purchase you should consider that the two small lights under the sphere will reflect as two separate bright lights. They don't evenly illuminate the entire globe.
