This fan sounds like an airplane engine

This fan looks decent, but the performance is terrible. I had a handyman install it and it ran well enough. That night my husband turned it on while I was sleeping and I winced thinking it was the alarm on my phone! We can't keep this fan running at night when we really need it because it literally sounds like an airplane engine (no exaggeration), even if we're both very sound sleepers. Now the wizard needs to come back, uninstall it and install a new fan (a different brand and model, of…

This is NOT a light hum!

I just had this fan installed ($150). I am so disappointed. It's incredibly loud. A hum can be heard in my living room, two rooms down! If you value quiet while you sleep, DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! The fan looks very nice and works well, but the noise is a deal breaker. What should I do now? Will you pay another $150 to remove it and buy another fan? In 30 years of home ownership I have never had a fan this loud. I'm a solo teacher - I can't afford and install another fan. I just don't need to use…

Assembly Instructions?

Package arrived on time as advertised with no damage. The instructions were less than acceptable. The wire stripper is not included in "Required Tools" but will be shown in later steps. The fan assembly does not dictate a top case to be installed before running the electrical wires through that part of the assembly, making hanging the fan questionable. The assembly of the blade (steps and pictures) implies the use of screws with washers BUT does not show that the washers are actually packed…

Installation problem - lack of performance

After installation, this fan looks very beautiful and works well, but the installation is difficult. I've installed many fans in the past, but none have as many small and fiddly parts as this one. Make sure you have a medium/small magnetic screwdriver and a place to place the parts. The remote took several attempts to program it. Also, do not test the fan until it is fully assembled. It will not function properly without the installed light mechanism. Be prepared to install lots of small screws

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Disappointing and poor customer service from the company

We bought four of these fans/lights to replace ones that had burned out from a large power surge. We had an electrician install them. He thought they were very well made, but we were disappointed that the two fans were very noisy. Not from the blades, but from the engine. With Revane's help, I was able to speak to a guy from the fan company to see if we could do something about the noise from two loud fans. We knew they could be quiet as the other two were pretty good. The man was dismissive…
