We travel a lot and spend time in hotels with questionable water quality. We bought a kit and because the water quality is very poor in some spots, we had to replace the filter after a month, but we use 3 to 4 gallons of water a day for drinking, coffee, and cooking. Sometimes more. The kit is definitely easy to use, install and remove when you move to a new place. I carry a small pair of pliers as sometimes the faucet aerator is quite tight and you need pliers to loosen it. The filter works fantastic as promised but not sure if it will last 700 gallons or 3 months as stated in the insert. This can depend heavily on the water quality. As I said above, some of the places we tour contain very heavy, questionable water, heavy metals, minerals and other contaminants. At 0.01 microns, it is the most harmful to humans and is the smallest hole I have found in a water filter. To replace the cartridge, unscrew the old one from the base, screw in the new one, turn on the water and get started. through the filter for one minute to activate it and remove most of the air from the filter. That's it, it's easy to use. The new filter was packaged in a 4" x 4" x 8" box. The inside of the filter was wrapped in a large bubble wrap. As I had to replace the original filter within a month, I'm only giving it 4 stars for value , but it certainly saves buying 5-10 bottles of water a day for $2-3 per bottle and also saves on landfill.Overall very happy with the product.
