Don't believe the hype (low level of many other headphones) - excellent mixing headphones

These headphones are made for mixing. These are no ordinary headphones for relaxing and listening to your favorite music. sure they can be used for that and they're good for that, but they're not designed to sound as exciting as consumer/earphone headphones typically do. They won't give you powerful, muffled bass and super-shining highs - and that's a good thing. They're better used as tools to make your mix sound great when you're ACTUALLY listening to it through consumer-grade speakers and headphones. There's a rolloff at low frequencies, but it's not harsh or distracting unless you're too used to hearing the advertised low frequencies in other headphones/speakers. Once you get used to not being force-fed your low frequencies, you may not want to go back. rigid). I've used a cheap pair of Tascam headphones (TH-300X) when not mixing through speakers, and they definitely fall into the bass-heavy category. the ADK K240 doesn't have that and I'm thankful for that. They have a nice, clear sound across the spectrum, and despite this attenuation, they remain very clear throughout, making it much easier to hear when I have good separation between instruments at low frequencies. the end. If you're looking for great budget mixing headphones, these are really good value for money. If you're not into audio production/engineering and just need good headphones to listen to, there might be better options. Oh yes, and a few words about the included headphone amplifier. Looks nice but sucks. At least two outputs only output left and right channels until their volume is about halfway, then one side is muted. This was probably the same for all exits, but I didn't check it as it was an obviously hopeless cause. However, I didn't buy it for a headphone amp, so I'm not deducting credit for it.

Pros
  • I have my fingers crossed
Cons
  • A lot of things
