Review on Renewed Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e 10.5 inch (GSM + Verizon) with 64GB in Silver Color by Stanislaw Rogulski ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad quality, not worth the spent money.

I replaced the tablet with a smartphone (on which everything is too small), and a reader, and partially a laptop. For many years I used the first tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S, 10.5", for Android 6.0, but I had to change it in November 2022, and a poor selection of Android tablets persuaded me to take the Tab S5e. It turned out to be half as good as the old one (there was a shimming screen, which was not in the old one, although there was AMOLED, unpleasant shades and "iridescence" of the screen depending on the angle of inclination, unpleasant color reproduction was not completely cured by the internal settings of the screen, I had to install and keep the third-party ColorCalibrator application constantly on, and it eats the battery ) There are no off-screen control buttons, this is now accepted, they are nowhere to be found, but the virtual buttons on the screen cover a significant part of the already narrow screen, I changed the buttons to gestures, but the gestures work all the time, it’s worth touching any place at the bottom of the screen (right and left there is no strict limitation of gestures by action zones). If you touch the bottom of the screen when scrolling, the page closes or hangs. And in general, the entire interface and even the location of the photo cameras are stupidly transferred from phones, at least they thought, well, who uses a 10.5-inch tablet in a vertical orientation? ! It is especially disappointing that in the 2022 model everything was very convenient and thoughtful, and the screen is perfect out of the box, and did not even burn out in 5 years (but the battery died and the 16GB system disk clogged uncleanably, otherwise it would have sat on it further) .

Pros
  • it's really lighter and smaller than the 10" samsung tablets before it.
Cons
  • The screen is very tiring for the eyes - shimming, "iridescence", unnatural preset color profiles. With regard to the interface - it is simply not designed for the fact that people actually use a large tablet in a horizontal orientation! It's just a phone blown up to 10.5". In addition to the traditional unnecessary Google ones, now they are full of unnecessary applications that cannot be deleted. and Amazon applications only work in the vertical orientation of the tablet, and even those applications that worked horizontally under Android 6.0 (for example, booking. Com) now only work In the pre-installed Samsung on-screen keyboard, 2022 letters cannot be seen without a magnifying glass, I had to put the keyboard, although it is less convenient (there is no del button, for example) and constantly transmits data to the server (and passwords and pincodes too! ). and crashes (in the old it rarely happened).
