Review on YAEYE Wired Controller for Xbox 360 - Dual-Vibration Turbo - PC & Xbox 360/360 Slim Compatible by Vincent Blitz

Good controller design, no longer works, cheap wiring

I've had this controller for a year and a half. I'm a light user, maybe played it for 60-80 hours. For the price this controller feels good, it looks a lot like a real black Xbox360 controller. Never had any responsiveness or key clock issues or using it on PC for Steam games. However, I'm writing this review because it stopped working while I was playing with it. Probably a wiring problem. Essentially, the cable stem on the controller suddenly became very sensitive, in that its slight flexing one way or the other would cause the controller to quickly disconnect and reconnect to the computer. Probably loose/cheap wiring. Also, the controller attempts to select the player number wavelength to use when reconnecting. Mine got stuck between player #3 and #4 when I needed him at #1. Also, it was very frustrating because I was in the middle of a 30 minute boss fight and wanted to at least get past the controller for 5 minutes to finish before I unplug the controller, but all the Xbox controller guides say there isn't Possibility to force the wavelength on the controller, except maybe restarting the computer. And if I had to play a game with a keyboard, I'd have to be an octopus to pull off the combos that game requires, so I really needed a controller. just play carefree so this controller was a baby. I don't see how he's going to do it, but oh well. I liked that they were wired controllers because I felt they were more reliable and simpler than bluetooth/battery controllers, but now I'm starting to see the flaws in that logic. Bad wiring is something you cannot fix. I think the controller is good value for money but this is just a warning to the buyer that depending on luck it may not last long.
