Review on IDesign Clear Plastic Pantry Container: BPA-Free Storage Organizer With Air-Tight Lid For Kitchen, Fridge, Freezer, And Cabinet by Luckie Coonrod

Sturdy and seals tight

This is a nice little food storage box (it holds a little over 2 quarts), designed to keep food fresh. The box is sturdy and light. The lid makes no sound as you close it - there is no satisfying pop or clicking sound, but the rubberized band around the lid ensures it closes tightly. It's stack-able, which I like a lot. I can't stack a lot in the fridge but if I use this in the cupboard I can easily put one on top of another and make better use of my pantry space (always at a premium).Right now I am using this case for my son's Oreos to keep them from becoming stale. Generally he eats them fast enough this isn't a problem but at other times he'll forget they are there, and with the hot, humid summer weather upon us (not to mention the possibility of ants) I don't want to take a chance. Next one I get will be for my Fig Newtons. It would also make a nice place to store rice.I saw that another reviewer uses theirs for gardening purposes and I can see storing seed packets in them, or as yet another reviewer noted, note cards. All sorts of uses are possible. These are hand wash only so don't put it in the dishwasher and destroy the rubber ring. They're easy to clean with soapy water and a brush, however, and there are always plastic items in our house that line up to go into the sink, so no problem adding another to the list. It's a great item and well worth the price, given all the potential uses you can get out of it, and 2.2 quarts is a nice size for most things.
