Review on Powerful Cleaning with Shark HZ602 Corded Ultralight Vacuum by Shane Black

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My very first stick vacuum cleaner!

Before the Shark HZ602 ultra-light vacuum, we always had a canister vacuum. Shark is my favorite brand and we LOVE our powerful vacuum. It's a few years old and hasn't lost its cleaning power. I was hoping for a similar experience with this vacuum cleaner. I have no comparison to vacuum cleaners. We've never had a use for one as we've always had carpeted floors. Recently, the entire floor of our house was covered with LVP flooring, so I wanted a separate vacuum for that floor. (so we can keep a vacuum cleaner on each floor of our house) I really like the look of the vacuum cleaner! It's sleek, stylish and the Comet Red color is beautiful. It is not too bulky, easy to carry and does not take up much space. I'm not happy that he doesn't get up on his own. It must be leaned against the wall or it will tip over. It would be nice if it came with some sort of docking station to keep it upright when not in use. The cable is on the shorter side. It's not a big deal, but I have to switch plugs to other outlets more often than I would with any other vacuum. The trash can is very small. While I'm spoiled by the large dust bin on our other Shark vacuum, I would only use it for small jobs for that reason. There's no way I could clean an entire house of pet hair without tossing the canister a few times. I really like the handheld vacuum option. I have used it a lot. It's lightweight and makes vacuuming LVP stairs easy! The Powerfins feature is quite interesting. I ALWAYS clean and trim hair from our other vacuum with a bristle roller. This is real PAIN! That rules it out completely! The most important thing in EVERY vacuum cleaner is power and suction power. This product didn't work for me. This is ideal for use on a flat, level surface like an LVP. It easily sucks up pet hair and other fluff. However, I have tried using it on a rug as well as on our memory foam bath rugs. It just didn't work that well. It seems to glide across the surface of the carpet and pick up any hair or fluff that may be softly sitting on it, but it just doesn't penetrate deep enough to grab what has been kicked multiple times. This was a little disappointing as for some reason our cats love to sit on these memory foam mats. They get easily covered in pet hair and this vacuum just doesn't leave them squeaky clean like our other sharks. Overall it's still a good vacuum but I would honestly stick with a canister as it seems to have more suction and better cleaning. Capabilities.

Pros
  • SELF-CLEANING BRUSH: Self-cleaning brush powerfully picks up pet hair without wrapping.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
