Read reviews! It's garbage!

I didn't read the reviews for these fillings and it took me hours of my time. I needed to replace the pinion oil seal and axle gimbals on the front differential on my '04 Ram 2500. The driver's side inner axle has been leaking oil for years, but it was never enough to justify its disassembly. Thought I'd save time later by swapping it and the passenger side while I'm fine. Once the job was done, I moved the truck 50 feet to a car wash, where I left it until the next day. Before I started washing, I noticed a puddle of gear oil near the car wheel. Upon further investigation, it turned out that the seal was terribly out of order. After a few words of choice, I assembled everything and started taking it apart again to find that the driver's side wasn't airtight either. If the seals are leaking that quickly the car is useless and shouldn't be driven as all the oil would probably leak out a short distance if it leaked that much while stationary. After a little research I found that most people had the exact same issue with these Yukon brand seals for this application. I wanted OE at first but apparently you have to go through the dealer to buy genuine aam replacement seals but that is not the case once you have the part number. For my specific application, the shaft seal kit part number is 74050016 (AAM picture included with this review). The AAM Gasket Kit comes with gaskets and new hub bolts for about the same price as one of those junk Yukon gaskets. Do yourself a favor and take my advice. I'm not a novice shade tree mechanic. I have my own diesel workshop and personally 20 years of experience with axles and transmissions. On the other hand, if you need experience and like to do the job twice or more, then these offers are for you.
