Review on ๐ŸฆŸ Lulu Home Electric Bug Zapper: Aluminium Indoor Insect Killer for Mosquito, Bug, Fly with 2800V Grid and 20W Bulbs by Mike Sutton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Important Tip: Use it with Sticky Traps!

Update: My biggest criticism of this zipper is that while its light attracts mosquitoes, most of the time they happily crawl around in/next to the zipper. Only a very small part was destroyed, about 20%. This makes this lightning rod almost useless unless you find the popping sound enjoyable. However, I realized that a glue trap can solve this problem. In fact, the sticky trap is very effective in catching mosquitoes but does not attract them, while a chain trap does the opposite. They complement each other well! In fact, I just tried it out and placed 2 sticky traps on the outside grid of the zapper with the sticky side in (otherwise it doesn't stick). The sticky traps caught LOTS of mosquitoes VERY quickly! There are still a few happy mosquitoes crawling around but within an hour probably at least 70% of the mosquitoes were stuck in/near the castle. I will continue to use them together and as a result have increased my rating from 2 to 4 stars, but that's only 4 stars when used with sticky traps! Otherwise lucky to get 2 stars because it's so ineffective at getting rid of mosquitoes. First Opinion: Leaving this on day and night attracted a lot more bugs to the light. However, due to the design, few bugs have been accidentally hit, many seem to be crawling while enjoying the light. So it works to a degree, but it doesn't kill all the bugs that are attracted. Sticky traps on windows worked much better and cheaper - for the price I regret the purchase.
