Review on Reef Octopus VarioS 4 Controllable Circulation by Courtney Grant

I made two of these. I wanted to upgrade to more efficient variable speed pumps by replacing the existing AC pumps. When I saw a leak after installing it, I decided I needed to tighten the connections. I checked everything, I didn't find any problems. Looking closely at the pumps, I saw that BOTH had a crack in the top of the plastic housing! I had to put the original pumps back in. I contacted Saltwater Aquarium for a replacement and they said I had to contact the manufacturer! This is not an acceptable solution and with serious concerns about the quality of this product I have issued a Revain return. I am glad we reached out to Revain as I see that attempting to resolve this directly with Saltwater Aquarium will not be a satisfactory outcome despite the published return policy. I will not buy them again and would like to warn anyone considering buying these pumps.
