Review on 🧦 DANISH ENDURANCE Merino Wool Hiking Socks - 3-Pack for Men, Women, Kids - Cushioned, Ideal for Walking, Trekking, Work, Outdoor Activities by Dre Bhatt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Check out my in-depth comparison of this and other socks! Why are there less than 5 starts?

I was getting very frustrated trying to figure out which (affordable) hiking/walking socks to buy. I definitely knew I wanted wool (not cheap synthetics) and I definitely knew I didn't want to spend $22-$30 a pair on Darn Tough socks (I have two pairs of Darn Tough socks and they're admittedly good socks, but I'm not considering them). I bought a pair of Danish Endurance (hiking and walking socks made from merino wool) and Buttons & Pleats (wool socks for men and women, 80% warm merino boot socks). I also bought a pack of regular Champion Crew socks as a control. I then put on each pair of socks and ran several kilometers and here are my reports: Danish Endurance: 8 out of 10 (on a scale of 1 to 10). ) Buttons and pleats: 10 out of 10 Champion: 7 out of 10 To be honest, the Danish Endurance socks disappointed me. They are slightly thicker and more comfortable than regular Champion socks. Next, drop down and start twisting around your ankles after about half a mile (no thanks). Champion socks measure 320 mils (see thick part) 360 mils Buttons & pleated socks measure (thick throughout) 450 mils [Danish Endurance socks have thin sections here and there measuring only 270 mils] In With others In other words, Danish Endurance socks are only 12% thicker (at their thickest point) than regular Champion socks. It was rather disappointing. However, Buttons & Pleats socks (which are an even thickness throughout) are 40% thicker than Champion socks and 25% thicker than Danish Endurance socks. Buttons & Pleats socks are also half the price (for a pair) of Danish Endurance socks. Buttons and Pleats - $5 per pair Danish Endurance - $10 per pair. Also, you can see from the photos that the Button & Pleats socks have a nice fluffy inside, which is also very comfortable (like hugging your foot :). They also don't fall off around the ankles, so that's a big plus. You may also be wondering how I would rate Darn Tough socks. I would rate them 9 out of 10. They are very comfortable but slightly thinner (just a bit) than Buttons & Pleats socks. I also think charging $22-$30 for a pair of socks is ridiculous, so here's the thing. Clear winner: buttons and pleats.
