I thought this would be ideal for a specific purpose. Sadly, I received it quickly, but it did not work. It doesn't come with a power cord, so you must use batteries. I used two sets of batteries (8 in all), and while the lights go on, the lid will not open.it grinds, shudders, and then turns off. I registered it and contacted the manufacturer, who is "investigating" to decide if they will honor the warranty. They said they would get back to me within three days. If they honor the warranty and the return and exchange product works, I will adjust my review accordingly. I want to be fair, but I am disappointed so far. However, I have been notified that a new can top is being sent to me. If that works satisfactorily, I will amend my current review. A replacement top was sent, which didn't work, with new batteries. No lights, nothing! This is not a good product because it is not touchless and doesn't work properlt.
