Just cool red tires. The biggest problem we have here in this backwoods of woods are the so-called "stickers" - I don't know exactly what they are - they look like possible weeds or tree saplings - but they're triangular things anyway and all sharp-edged come out and they cut through regular bike tires like a hot knife through butter. I've been using them for about 4 years now and haven't experienced any flatness in regular cycling. This year I bought some extra "slimy" tubes to be a little safer when I get back on the rides of the century. This will be my second set of tires on my Cannondale. I have a solid four years from the first set and about 34,000 (miles) of trouble free driving. I bought another set without hesitation as I was very happy with the first set. In case you were wondering - my Cannondale came from a local bike shop with Maxxis tires - first ride - 28 miles - ripped off a few stickers on the back - used an old inner tube to cut extra protection where the stickers on the tires were cut - turned around and drove home. Went to Sun Ski & Sports, got an FPS - installed it in the back and tried to ride again - this time - the frontflip went through due to the same issue - except this time I was already on my way home and was pretty close. Bought an FPS send and installed it on the front panel. No problem after that - 4 years later - I just replace them because they seem a bit dry and have some cracks on the sidewalls. So . Hm. Damn . 4 years with no problems - yes - I bought another set and this time also changed the tires on my wife's bike.
