Since 1971 I have been using and installing Pertronix squibs professionally for 44 years. Make sure you are using only good quality spark plugs with .040 to .045 gaps, good quality secondary wires and correctly timed spark plugs. for all progression levels, including a total of 32 to 36 degrees. If you don't have the tools or experience to set it up properly, find a professional with the right understanding and knowledge of all ignition systems to get it right.
