I bought this salad bowl two years ago and unlike others I've had, this one is reliable and shows no signs of worn gears or loss of 'rotation'. "Force" or speed. I fill the bowl with romaine shreds to wash off the dirt, close the lid and drain the water. I refill and drain the water, then wring it out. I buy another one for storage as there is is the best spinner lettuce I've ever had and does the best job of removing water. I use it to wash and squeeze other veggies too. I was worried it would break if a kid accidentally smashed it while "helping". drops, but it didn't even crack!
